St. John’s Lutheran Church is proud to announce that
as of August 15, 2010, the Reverend Kristin Dubsky
is now serving as our pastor and will be
officially installed as our 25th pastor
on Sunday, October 24, 2010.

Pastor Dubsky currently served in the Delaware-Maryland Synod as the Assistant Pastor
at Christ Lutheran Church, a 1,400 member congregation in Baltimore City.  She is married
to The Rev. Michael Dubsky, pastor of St. Luke’s, Hampden where she and her family,
reside in the parsonage. 

Pastor Dubsky grew up near St. Paul, MN.  She has a Bachelor of Arts from Gustavus Adolphus College (an ELCA college in St. Peter, MN), a Master of Divinity from The Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia and received a Certificate in Youth and Family Ministry from Gettysburg Seminary.  Prior to her ordination, she served as a youth director in Minnesota, spent 4 summers as a Camp Counselor and Canoe Guide at a Lutheran Bible Camp in MN, served as a Pastoral Intern in Detroit, MI, and Youth Pastor outside of Philadelphia. 

In her ten years of service at Christ Lutheran-Baltimore, Pastor Dubsky has been regularly involved in all areas of the pastoral ministry including preaching, teaching, worship leadership, and pastoral care.  She has specific responsibility for leading contemporary worship, youth and confirmation ministries, and women’s ministries.  She believes that prayer and studying God’s word are central to a congregation’s life together.  She enjoys visiting with members of the congregation and especially learning the stories of the seniors.  She currently serves on the board of Mar-Lu-Ridge Camp (past President) and served previously on the Youth and Family Mission Team of our Synod.
